FAQ

Why should these efficiency values not be compared without context?

The records cover single-junction cells, all-perovskite tandem cells, and meter-scale modules using different area conventions. A valid comparison must state the device structure, measured area, full-area or aperture-area convention, and test date.

What is the difference between full-area and aperture-area module efficiency?

Full-area efficiency uses the complete external module area. Aperture-area efficiency uses the illuminated opening defined during measurement. The same module can therefore have different values under the two conventions, so each value must be labelled separately.

Where does the evidence on this page come from?

Each record links to a SolaEon public news source, an official WeChat article, or testing-body information named in the record. The page includes only public material already reviewed in the site fact registry.
